Coldfusion 9 Now Available

Coldfusion 9 is now available in it’s super sweet fullness!

Guess what! I named a tag… CFSPREADSHEET! In the early beta versions the tag was called CFEXCEL, however as I pushed the point of CSV support in CF9, the discussion rounded about to combining the two into the CFSPREADSHEET tag. There’s heaps of functionality in the tag which means you don’t have to rely on 3rd party POI tags anymore to create or read excel documents! Sweet

CFADMIN.com Re-launched

After a short absense cfadmin.com is available again. We’re relaunching with a complete code refresh as the old code relied on the current coldfusion administrator code, which to be quite honest from an interface point of view is quite limited.

So stay tuned over the next little while and we’ll get the engines running again. I’m really excited about the re-launch and I hope everyone can benefit from what is about to begin here.

A coldfusion admnistrator that has a pluggable nature
Granular Role-based admin panel and api
Better support for tags in cfscript
Tags and functions for CSV handling
Better JSON and XML support
More generic AJAX implenation
The ability to create mappings like Railo to external filestores
CFSVN – Subversion respository management
CFAIR – Create and manage air applications
